Over the past twenty years, Ganfeng has gradually grown from an unknown small workshop to a leader in the global lithium industry. Here, I would like to explain to all colleagues who have followed Ganfeng the most core development plan for the future of Ganfeng.
In the past growth process, Ganfeng has two major stages of development, one centered around products and the other around resources.
Ganfeng 'is a product derived from our business philosophy at the beginning of its establishment -' If there is no one, I have it, and if there is someone, I am superior.We used to have a nickname called 'Lithium Supermarket' because almost all lithium related products can be purchased in Ganfeng. We started with lithium metal and entered the field of organic lithium in order to digest our lithium metal production capacity; In order to match the global energy transformation strategy, we have pre arranged battery grade compounds and battery grade metal products, and established our lithium battery and battery recycling sections. In addition to the increasingly complete range of products, due to our strict quality requirements, Ganfeng's series of products have also gained customer recognition, and each new product can quickly open up the market.
The 'Resource Ganfeng' was originally designed to address our anxiety about raw materials.In the history of Ganfeng, there have been several supply disruptions. When the scale was still small, we could still ensure normal production through twists and turns. However, as the scale expanded, resource issues hung over us like a knife, and falling down was the end of the enterprise. So starting from 2011, we started investing in cost-effective resources globally with the funds raised through two IPOs and multiple additional issuances. Our investment strategy in the early years was mainly to take small steps and move forward steadily, so although it is difficult to see any huge amount of project investment from Ganfeng, over the past decade, Ganfeng's resource reserves have gradually ranked among the top in the world.
These are the first two decades of Ganfeng.
And in the next 10 years, I hope our development theme will be 'Technology Ganfeng'.In recent years, due to the huge prospects of the new energy industry, the entire industry has been running at a high speed, and the market dynamics are changing rapidly. Only our technology is the best, can we not fall behind in this era.
Specifically, the 'technological frontier' will be divided into three parallel directions: technological breadth, technological depth, and technological application.
Technical breadth refers to mastering the most advanced core technologies in as many related fields as possible to avoid being constrained by others.
With the continuous expansion of our business in the past decade, Ganfeng has delved into upstream resource projects and downstream battery manufacturing and recycling. During this period, we have come into contact with more unfamiliar fields, such as lithium extraction, recycling and dismantling, automation and digitization, etc. Many of our technological reserves over the past twenty years have become somewhat unsuitable. So we are planning higher R&D investment and more proactive incentive plans to quickly grasp the technologies and experiences we lack, and absorb the relevant talents we lack the most.
Technical depth refers to achieving achievements in more cutting-edge fields, demonstrating the responsibility of giant enterprises, and truly promoting industry growth.
Technology is endless, and a single decimal point of improvement can bring earth shattering changes to the entire industry. Gan Feng will not rely on his laurels in the merit book. We will continue to explore the cutting-edge fields, such as extracting lithium from clay or solid-state batteries. We are also planning to establish a research institute led by academicians and provide specialized research and development buildings; Internally, the company will further encourage everyone to improve their technical capabilities and support technical colleagues to deepen their research, whether it is applying for technology projects or pursuing a doctoral degree in universities to master deeper technology.
The application of technology means that our technology can be commercialized rapidly, bringing constant positive feedback to form a virtuous circle.
Technological research and development should not be completely equated with theoretical research. Our technology will gradually be applied to our various businesses. For example, in solid-state technology, we not only completed the installation and operation of solid-state batteries this year, but also approached more car companies and built factories in Chongqing and other places to expand production capacity; Some of our consumer batteries and other products are also equipped with our technologies such as separators and solid-state electrolytes, greatly improving their performance. Similarly, our clay lithium extraction plan will gradually be reflected in the Sonora project in Mexico in recent years. These are the first things Ganfeng has tried in the entire industry. Next, Ganfeng will implement more of our previously accumulated technologies, reduce costs, improve efficiency, and introduce more new products or solutions to the market!
At the same time, we will continue to strengthen the talent echelon construction of Ganfeng, recruit more highly skilled and lacking talents to join Ganfeng, and work together to strive for our goal of building a technological Ganfeng.
This year, Ganfeng has many ongoing projects, from Argentina, Mexico, and Mali overseas to Jiangxi, Chongqing, Inner Mongolia, Hebei, and Qinghai domestically, covering resource extraction, compound and metal production, and lithium battery manufacturing and recycling businesses.In the coming period, we will focus our business on project construction, achieve completion and production as soon as possible, and provide stronger impetus for the development of the new energy industry!
